In 1984, Souza Cruz Group acquired control of Maguary Food Industries S / A and all its agribusiness structure. In 1992, Tavares de Melo Group had the opportunity to reacquire the entire agricultural complex. From that time, the company was renamed the Agricultural Valley Mangereba Ltda., Named after a river that cuts through their land and also provides water for irrigation of one of the largest coconut plantations in Brazil.
